Many of you have known me for a long time and have witnessed my spirals — including a kind of social suicide I once attempted, trying to force myself into finding strength and confidence for something greater later on.
I promised a performance in April, but for now, it didn’t come together. Instead, I reflected on all of this through a small project I called Chain / Link / Connection. The accompanying text is also part of the photo story.
In many ways, it helps make sense of this fragmented phantasmagoria of hands, chains, and landscapes, but I hope it still leaves enough space for everyone to interpret something of their own and make the project feel more personal.
Text from the slide:
«It’s time to break the chain and replace its links. All of us serve as connecting points for others. People find us, and through us, they find someone else. For some, we remain the only doorway to other connections; for others, just a springboard — a one-time passage.
It is good to be aware of this, and before disappearing, to give others a chance to use you as a link one last time, so that the connections are not lost. A final gift — one that perhaps no one will appreciate, but what does it matter? It has already been given.
Many never had such a chance and disappeared without warning. And how many more will never have it»
