My name is Misha Kagen. I’m a photographer and art director currently living and working in Rotterdam. I work with both commercial clients and on personal, long-term projects.
Over the years, I’ve produced and directed multiple full-scale photo productions and photo shoots for online stores and fashion brands. I know how to build a production from scratch, manage teams, and deliver results that are aligned with a client’s goals — even when the brief changes mid-shoot.
I’ve lived long enough between systems to stop trusting maps. What I do trust is instinct, momentum, and the clarity that comes from not fitting. I like people who ask unusual questions and don’t flinch when the answer is uncomfortable. I’ll enter almost any space — even a questionable one — if the idea is alive. In photography, I value honesty above everything. I don’t think images should explain themselves.
